COMELEC scraps UV Marking Check in PCOS machines
by admin on Apr.06, 2010, under Current Affairs, News, Political Insights, Politics, elections 2010
Comelec has disabled the UV checking of our supposed to be highly automated ballot counting machine. Manual na lang dw ipapakita gamit ang UV flashlight… Tsk, that makes it easier to use fake ballots since the machines no longer checks if the ballots contain the correct UV markings which were supposed to be the security feature of the ballots. Hay, ngaun palang, planadong planado na ang pandaraya ng mga MANDARAYA…

MMDA going green…
by admin on Mar.23, 2010, under Current Affairs, News, Political Insights, Politics, elections 2010
MMDA has started painting the surroundings of Metro Manila from Pink to Green. And from what I heard, even the traffic signs are going green??? That’s totally absurd!
Pink was an unacceptable color for traffic signs since Pink is only used for Incident Management signs. Traffic signs are supposed to be based on Standards accepted universally, however here in the Philippines, MMDA chooses to have their own, even to the point of being Absurdly Absurd and a waste of taxpayer’s money… not to mention an obvious way of supporting the Administration candidate’s campaign color. Isn’t it so obvious??

Noynoy, Villar - No show at Kingdom’s Presidential Forum
by admin on Mar.10, 2010, under Current Affairs, News, Political Insights, Politics, elections 2010
Presidential bets Noynoy and Villar are both no shows at the recently concluded Presidential forum at The Kingdom of Pastor Quibuloy in Davao City.
Pastor Quibuloy’s message to the two: “Commitment is your word of honor. When you fail to fulfill your commitment, you have no word and you have no honor”.
It has been noted by many, including his supporters in the Liberal Party that Aquino is prone to falling ill and cannot cope with the rigors of a presidential campaign due to his health problems.
Bro Eddie Launches 2010 Campaign Bigtime!
by admin on Feb.09, 2010, under Current Affairs, News, Politics, elections 2010
Today, Feb 9, 2010 - 5AM. Bangon Pilipinas Party, led by Bro Eddie Villanueva, officially kicked off their campaign today at the Luneta Grounds. Thousands and thousands (figure still to be estimated) of supporters ranging from Christians, Baptists, Muslims and several other Sectarian and non-sectarian religious groups joined the rally to officially launch Bro Eddie’s and his seven senatoriables’ campaign.
It’s amazing to see different religious groups joined together to unanimously support a common Political Party and cause, which for so many years since I was born, has never happened. Bro Eddie has captured the hearts of Leftists, Rightists, Christians and Muslims, where other candidates have failed to do before. This is truly a historic occasion for our country the Philippines, to once again experience becoming a united and undivided nation of Christians and Muslims.
Perhaps the most amazing part of this official campaign kick off was the unfurling of the World’s Largest Philippine flag measuring 16560 sqm and weighing 3.8 tons. This is a lot smaller than the World’s 2nd largest flag (Philippine flag at 18,818 sqm) which was unfurled in Israel last December 23, 2007 to commemorate Israel’s 60th year.
Below are images of the actual unfurling of the Philippine flag in Luneta Grandstand, Philippines.
Mindanao goes for Bro Eddie
by admin on Jan.31, 2010, under Current Affairs, News, Political Insights, Politics, elections 2010
“Only Bro. Eddie Villanueva can bring about changes in the conflict-ridden Bangsamoro,” prominent Muslim leaders said today as they unanimously declared support to Bro. Eddie, presidential candidate of Bangon Pilipinas.
Dr. Zafrullah Alonto, Bangon Pilipinas senatorial candidate who represents Muslim Mindanao in the slate, rallied the Amanah Coalition to publicly declare support to Bro. Eddie.
Amanah Coalition is one of Mindanao’s most influential multi-sectoral groups which has memberships from the Lumadnons in Mindanao, Maguindanao, Sulu and Palawan.
Alonto himself belongs to the Alonto clan who has deep ties with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). He brings with him MILF support to Bangon Pilipinas.
“We came out with a consensus that Bro. Eddie Villanueva, being a man of God, can bring the much-needed moral fiber in our decadent society and government and is the right person who is capable of putting the nation back to its erstwhile but lost reputation and glory which we, the Filipino people, have been proud of in the past,” Amanah Coalition’s statement said.
About forty leaders representing the most powerful clans in Mindanao gathered in a press conference to issue the Statement of Support to Bro. Eddie.
With Bangon Pilipinas vice-presidential candidate Perfecto “Jun” Yasay and the entire senatorial slate from the Catholic, Christian, and Adventist faiths, the Muslim leaders declared, “We call on all the Muslims, Christians and Lumadnons of Mindanao, Sulu and Palawan, as well as the people of Luzon and Visayas, to join us in supporting the Villanueva-Yasay tandem and its entire senatorial slate so that we can achieve a new and lasting real beginning in our beloved nation.”
Per Comelec data, 23.5 percent of the voting population for the 2010 elections is in Mindanao.
