Noynoy, Villar - No show at Kingdom’s Presidential Forum

by admin on Mar.10, 2010, under Current Affairs, News, Political Insights, Politics

Presidential bets Noynoy and Villar are both no shows at the recently concluded Presidential forum at The Kingdom of Pastor Quibuloy in Davao City.
Pastor Quibuloy’s message to the two: “Commitment is your word of honor. When you fail to fulfill your commitment, you have no word and you have no honor”.

It has been noted by many, including his supporters in the Liberal Party that Aquino is prone to falling ill and cannot cope with the rigors of a presidential campaign due to his health problems.

Bro Eddie Launches 2010 Campaign Bigtime!

by admin on Feb.09, 2010, under Current Affairs, News, Politics

Today, Feb 9, 2010 - 5AM. Bangon Pilipinas Party, led by Bro Eddie Villanueva, officially kicked off their campaign today at the Luneta Grounds. Thousands and thousands (figure still to be estimated) of supporters ranging from Christians, Baptists, Muslims and several other Sectarian and non-sectarian religious groups joined the rally to officially launch Bro Eddie’s and his seven senatoriables’ campaign.

It’s amazing to see different religious groups joined together to unanimously support a common Political Party and cause, which for so many years since I was born, has never happened. Bro Eddie has captured the hearts of Leftists, Rightists, Christians and Muslims, where other candidates have failed to do before. This is truly a historic occasion for our country the Philippines, to once again experience becoming a united and undivided nation of Christians and Muslims.

Perhaps the most amazing part of this official campaign kick off was the unfurling of the World’s Largest Philippine flag measuring 16560 sqm and weighing 3.8 tons. This is a lot smaller than the World’s 2nd largest flag (Philippine flag at 18,818 sqm) which was unfurled in Israel last December 23, 2007 to commemorate Israel’s 60th year.

Below are images of the actual unfurling of the Philippine flag in Luneta Grandstand, Philippines.

Mindanao goes for Bro Eddie

by admin on Jan.31, 2010, under Current Affairs, News, Political Insights, Politics

A show of support for Bro Eddie.

A show of support for Bro Eddie.

“Only Bro. Eddie Villanueva can bring about changes in the conflict-ridden Bangsamoro,” prominent Muslim leaders said today as they unanimously declared support to Bro. Eddie, presidential candidate of Bangon Pilipinas.

Dr. Zafrullah Alonto, Bangon Pilipinas senatorial candidate who represents Muslim Mindanao in the slate, rallied the Amanah Coalition to publicly declare support to Bro. Eddie.

Amanah Coalition is one of Mindanao’s most influential multi-sectoral groups which has memberships from the Lumadnons in Mindanao, Maguindanao, Sulu and Palawan.

Alonto himself belongs to the Alonto clan who has deep ties with the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF). He brings with him MILF support to Bangon Pilipinas.

“We came out with a consensus that Bro. Eddie Villanueva, being a man of God, can bring the much-needed moral fiber in our decadent society and government and is the right person who is capable of putting the nation back to its erstwhile but lost reputation and glory which we, the Filipino people, have been proud of in the past,” Amanah Coalition’s statement said.

About forty leaders representing the most powerful clans in Mindanao gathered in a press conference to issue the Statement of Support to Bro. Eddie.

With Bangon Pilipinas vice-presidential candidate Perfecto “Jun” Yasay and the entire senatorial slate from the Catholic, Christian, and Adventist faiths, the Muslim leaders declared, “We call on all the Muslims, Christians and Lumadnons of Mindanao, Sulu and Palawan, as well as the people of Luzon and Visayas, to join us in supporting the Villanueva-Yasay tandem and its entire senatorial slate so that we can achieve a new and lasting real beginning in our beloved nation.”

Per Comelec data, 23.5 percent of the voting population for the 2010 elections is in Mindanao.

Sino pa nga ba? Eddie tayong lahat!

by admin on Dec.14, 2009, under Current Affairs, News, Politics

Sino pa nga ba?

Nagtatanong tayo kung sino ang mag-uumpisa sa pagbabago ng Pilipinas… Look no further guys, it has got to start from us.

12 Qualifications for a President

by admin on Apr.17, 2009, under Current Affairs, Politics

by: ederic@cyberspace (2004)

Forwarded message:

Why I am voting for Bro. EDDIE VILLANUEVA for the next Philippine President? I can think of at least 12 reasons:

_____1. He is an idealist. Has been and will always be. This assures us what he said he will definitely do.

_____2. He is a fighter, an activist. He fought for the rights of his family, he fought for the rights of the labor. He was one of those who fought the Marcos regime, the only candidate who did so. He will also fight for us. While PGMA cancelled her miting de avance out of fear for her safety, he dared to show up in every debate and every political rally or meetings when he is physically able.

_____3. PMAP (Personnel Management Association of the Philippines) assessed him through his interview as one who is more qualified than ROCO or LACSON, the edge is that he is a CAPTIVATOR that is he can unify all sectors of the society.

_____4. His integrity has been impeccable, this is what the country needs. People don’t trust the government anymore we need a leader who can be a moral example and restore the people’s trust in the government.

_____5. He is an inspiring leader, many columnist like De Quiros of Inquirer who is a known ROCO loyalist also observed that he is an inspiring leader. Thus he can drive the people to volunteerism and really gets the job done.

_____6. He is educated in economics (PUP and UP) and political law (UP) and even the Scriptures. He is also an educator. Disenchanted from Marxism while he taught economics, he became a preacher of righteousness.

_____7. He has led up to 7 Million laity for 25 years. It shows he is a good manager, administrator, and leader. He has managed Zoe 11 TV despite the selective advertisements. Not only that, he also established the JIL Colleges.

_____8. He lives a simple life. For for 25 years it would have been tempting to take advantage financially but his life open to everyone shows no hint of financial gain.

_____9. He has no excess political baggage. In this campaign alone he owed no religious leader nor political leaders his candidacy, he owes it to the people who volunteers to support him expecting nothing in return. Muslims as led by a Sultan from Mindanao supports him because the Sultan said, only Villanueva did not approach him to offer him anything. This is also the turning point for Winnie Monsod to throw her support for him.

_____10. He represents new politics. A politics of change. Of national moral renewal. In this campaign alone, his supporters bought his campaign gadgets. In many of his forums, the people who supports him or those who want to listen pay for the food and venue expecting nothing in return.

_____11. His health cannot be doubted. In this campaign alone, he travelled by land, sea and air all over the country. He is physically fit for the presidency.

_____12. His run for the presidency is driven by a desire for a moral national renewal than political advancement. This is the very reason why he is stance is the presidency or nothing at all. The Presidency is the seat of authority Constitutionally mandated for effectual national change. We are assured that there will be no politicking but a no-nonsense implementation of his highly commended and well thought 10-point program.

I am sure you have your own reasons for your own chosen Presidential candidates. I just hope and pray that the (1) debatable survey results, (2) vain popularity, (3) you-don’t-like-this-one-to
-win-so-you-will-vote-for-the-other are not three of those reasons, it is but high time for every Filipino to vote with conviction and conscience. God bless you and God bless the Philippines!
